Shafique Packages — Bilingual B2B Website for a PP Woven Bag Supplier
Shafique Packages has supplied polypropylene (PP) woven bags to Pakistani mills since 2001, serving fertilizer, sugar, textile, chemical, agriculture, flour and feed producers, for buyers at home and abroad. We designed and built a bilingual English and Urdu website that presents the business the way its buyers think — by bag type, by industry and by specification — and gives procurement teams three fast ways to ask for a quote: an enquiry form, WhatsApp, and a one-tap quick bar on mobile.

The Challenge
Shafique Packages built its business over two decades on relationships and referrals, but procurement teams increasingly check a supplier online before they call, and many decision-makers in the trade prefer Urdu. The business needed a credible, fast-loading presence that explains its products and the industries it serves, works on low-end phones and patchy mobile connections, and earns trust without publishing the names of the mills it supplies.
Our Solution
We built the site with Astro as a fully static, bilingual site — English at the root and a complete Urdu mirror with a right-to-left Nastaliq layout. There is no JavaScript framework: pages ship as plain HTML and CSS with small inline scripts, so they load quickly on any phone. Content is organised by bag family, specification and industry, with trust built on 25 years of trading experience rather than client names. Every page carries a clear path to a quote — a validated enquiry form, WhatsApp with a pre-filled bilingual message, and a sticky quick bar on mobile.

Shafique Packages — Project FAQ
Common questions about the bilingual B2B website we built for Shafique Packages.
The site is content — products, industries and company information — with no logged-in features. Astro outputs plain static HTML and CSS with no client-side framework, so pages load quickly on low-end phones and hosting stays simple and inexpensive.
Every page has a full Urdu counterpart under /ur/ with a right-to-left layout, Nastaliq headings and Naskh body text. Layouts use logical CSS properties so they mirror automatically, and the Urdu fonts are only downloaded on Urdu pages.
In three ways, on every page: an enquiry form with validation and spam protection, a WhatsApp button that opens a pre-filled message in the visitor’s language, and a sticky quick bar on mobile with one-tap Quote and WhatsApp buttons.
The client list is confidential, so the site earns trust in other ways: 25+ years of trading, the seven industries served, product knowledge and clear specifications. The structure was planned around this from the start rather than leaving an empty client section.
Images are converted to AVIF and WebP at several sizes and lazy-loaded, videos play only when visible and are skipped on Save-Data or 2G connections, and fonts are self-hosted and subset. With no JavaScript bundle, there is very little to download before a page is usable.
