Fortis Legal Partners — Bilingual Law Firm Website (English & Urdu)
Fortis Legal Partners is a litigation firm practising before the District Courts, the Lahore High Court and specialised tribunals, from an office near the Lahore High Court. We designed and built its website from the ground up as a fully bilingual platform: every page exists in English and in Urdu, with a right-to-left Nastaliq layout rather than a translated afterthought. The site covers 12 practice areas, the courts and forums the firm appears before, eight long-form legal guides, a 57-term legal glossary and a 35-question FAQ — all shaped around one design goal: a visitor in legal trouble should leave feeling reassured and know exactly how to reach the firm.

The Challenge
Most people searching for a lawyer in Pakistan are anxious, short on time, and often more comfortable in Urdu than in English — yet law firm websites are typically English-only brochures with a contact form nobody answers. Fortis also operates under bar-council rules on advertising, which forbid the testimonials, success rates and fee claims most marketing sites rely on. The firm needed a site that earns trust without any of those devices, works equally well in both languages, and turns a worried visitor into a conversation quickly.
Our Solution
We built a statically exported Next.js site with English and Urdu as equal, first-class languages: identical URL structures, right-to-left layouts driven entirely by logical CSS, and a TypeScript setup in which a missing Urdu string fails the build. Enquiries run through WhatsApp, the channel the firm’s clients already use — a three-step consultation wizard lets a visitor pick a practice area, summarise their matter and send a pre-filled message, with nothing stored on a server. Trust comes from substance instead of claims: plain-language guides, a searchable glossary and a clear account of how the firm handles a case. A compliance scanner runs before every build and rejects copy, in either language, that would breach advertising rules.

Fortis Legal Partners — Project FAQ
Common questions about the bilingual law firm website we built for Fortis Legal Partners.
Many people looking for a lawyer in Pakistan are more comfortable reading Urdu, especially under stress. Every page is published in both languages with identical URLs, and the Urdu edition uses a true right-to-left Nastaliq layout rather than Urdu text dropped into an English design.
Through WhatsApp, the channel the firm’s clients already use. A three-step wizard lets a visitor choose a practice area, describe their matter and open WhatsApp with a pre-filled message. Nothing is stored on a server, so sensitive legal details never sit on the website.
The site carries no testimonials, success rates, guarantees or fee claims. We enforced this in code: a compliance scanner checks all English and Urdu copy before every build and stops the build if a prohibited claim appears.
A statically exported Next.js 16 and React 19 site in TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS 4 and animated with Motion, with long-form guides written in MDX. The output is plain static files, so it needs no server runtime and is fast and inexpensive to host.
Every page has its own English and Urdu metadata, canonical URL and reciprocal hreflang tags, plus structured data for the firm, its practice areas, guides and glossary. A unique Open Graph image is generated for each page in both languages, and a post-build check verifies it all.
