Frequently Asked Questions
Honest answers about our services, process, pricing, and what makes NexGenix different.
General
NexGenix engineers backend systems, IoT platforms, AI automation, and web applications. We build GPS tracking platforms that manage vehicle fleets in real time, Laravel-based backend architectures for high-traffic applications, IoT sensor networks grounded in published RFID research, and end-to-end digital products from UX design to deployment.
Our registered office is at Flat 2-D, Street 28, Javed Market, I-10/4, Islamabad, Pakistan. We're incorporated under SECP, registered with FBR, and certified by the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) for international IT services.
NexGenix (Private) Limited was incorporated in February 2026. However, our engineering work predates the incorporation — our founder, Ammar Tahir, has been delivering software professionally since 2016 (7+ years), and the team operated as NexGen Solutions from 2021 to 2026 serving local and international clients. The incorporation represents the formalization of an existing engineering practice, not a brand-new operation.
Yes. NexGenix is fully incorporated under the Companies Act 2017, registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and certified by the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB). You can independently verify our incorporation at https://leap.secp.gov.pk.
Ammar Tahir holds a BS in Computer Science from GCU Lahore and a Master's in Computer Technology from Beijing Jiaotong University (China), funded by the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) — awarded to less than 1% of global applicants. He has published research in SCI-indexed journals covering optimization algorithms, machine learning, and signal processing. His professional career spans 7+ years of backend systems engineering, including GPS/GSM integration and senior-level fleet management platform development.
Services
Our proven production stack includes Laravel (PHP) for backend systems, C#/.NET for desktop applications, MySQL and SQL Server for database architecture, React and Next.js for frontend development. For IoT, we work with GPS/GSM protocols, RFID systems, MQTT, Arduino, and Raspberry Pi. Our AI work is grounded in Python, research-level algorithm design, and LLM integration for chatbot automation.
Yes. We serve an equal mix of Pakistani and international clients. As a PSEB-registered company, we're authorized for IT export services, can issue international invoices, and manage projects across time zones. Our founder's international education at Beijing Jiaotong University gives us cross-cultural working experience.
Our strongest experience is in logistics and transportation (GPS tracking, fleet management), enterprise backend systems (high-throughput APIs, database optimization), and IoT/smart automation (sensor networks, connected devices). We also serve e-commerce, finance, and education sectors — the engineering principles are transferable, but our deepest domain expertise is in real-time tracking and connected systems.
Our founder spent five years at Alpha Track building production GPS tracking platforms that managed hundreds of vehicles simultaneously with real-time data, WebSocket connections, and high-frequency database writes. We architect for scale from day one — database indexing, caching strategies, API rate limiting, and horizontal scaling are part of our standard approach, not afterthoughts.
Process
Every project begins with a free consultation — a 30-60 minute conversation where we understand your requirements, technical constraints, and business goals. We then deliver a detailed proposal covering architecture approach, technology choices, timeline, milestones, and pricing. No obligation until you approve the scope.
We follow four phases: Discovery (requirements analysis, technical research), Architecture (system design, database schema, API contracts), Engineering (iterative development with weekly demos and progress reports), and Launch (testing, deployment, documentation, and handover). You see working software every week, not just a final delivery.
A marketing website: 4-6 weeks. A custom web application with backend: 8-12 weeks. A full GPS tracking or IoT platform: 3-6 months. We provide honest timelines based on actual scope complexity, and we'll tell you upfront if a timeline isn't realistic rather than overpromise.
Weekly progress reports with what was completed, what's in progress, and what's coming next. Regular demo sessions so you see working software, not just status updates. A shared project board for full transparency. Direct access to the engineering team — not a project manager buffer.
Pricing
We offer project-based (fixed price) and retainer (monthly) pricing. Fixed price works for well-defined projects with clear scope and deliverables. Retainer suits ongoing development, maintenance, or projects where requirements evolve. Every engagement starts with a free consultation — we'll recommend the model that fits your project and budget.
Yes. For projects with clearly defined requirements, we provide a fixed-price proposal with itemized deliverables, milestones, and payment schedule. You know exactly what you're getting and what it costs before any work begins. If scope changes during development, we discuss adjustments transparently — no surprise invoices.
Yes. We offer maintenance packages that include bug fixes, security patches, performance monitoring, and feature updates. We build systems designed for long-term operation, not just launch day. Most of our client relationships extend well beyond the initial project.
